Lester Holt is the anchor of “NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt” and “Dateline NBC” and leads NBC News’ special reports, breaking news and primetime political coverage.

Please join the Center for Journalism Ethics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, as well as leading journalists and news organizations, in honoring the winner of the 2022 Anthony Shadid Award for Journalism Ethics.

The Shadid Award is presented in memory of Anthony Shadid ’90, a University of Wisconsin–Madison journalism alum and former board member of the Center for Journalism Ethics. A two-time recipient of the Pulitzer Prize, Shadid reported on the Middle East for the Washington Post and New York Times and remains one of the most admired international correspondents of our time.

This event will feature a keynote conversation on journalism ethics with NBC Nightly News Anchor Lester Holt conducted by award-winning journalist David Maraniss.
